The dealer has contacted me twice since I've walked away and now the price difference is now $1000. They REALLY want my taco. Funny, when they started the appraisal process, the salesman said something along the lines of "the colour is unfortuate...."
He has no idea. Pyrite mica is gorgeous.

He actually said that? The color is unfortunate? What an idiot. When I got my truck I was looking at a 2012 Pyrite Mica that I liked better (the color anyway) but it had way more miles so I went with the 13'.

Id never give up my Tacoma. I made the mistake of selling a 1993 Toyota pickup sr5 and have regretted that decision ever since. 2nd gens will never be built again and I bought mine new. I don't think I'll let it go until its simply too old to use.

My work truck is a 2017 F150 Sport 4x4 with the 3.5 ecoboost. That truck is ridiculous in Sport mode!!!! I was very pleased with it. But for me...mid sized truck is perfect

Yeah, the new raptors have the 3.5 ecoboost too, with a little different tune I believe. Complete monsters. I would never need more towing capacity than the 2.7 delivers. I drove a 3.5EB oday as well, and it didn't feel much different. That'd probably change with 5000lbs behind you.

    Horrible....

It's like trading in a spouse that loves doing the dishes, giving hummers without asking, making that racing stripe nice and dialed for you. (Why) Instead your asking for Raggity Ann (Eco-Poop) (Found On Road Dead). My two cents.

Yep. Ford Taurus Interceptor. They have a 305hp v6 fwd as standard and the 3.5 ecoboost AWD is the optional package. 0-60-5.8 seconds. It is a blast to drive

You can also get the ecoboost in their Interceptor SUV. That's what my dept is getting now.

I've always been anti-Ford, but my new work truck has the 3.5 ecoboost in it and I'm impressed. I've driven a few of the ecoboost vehicles and they're badass motors. I've not driven the smaller ecoboost so I can't say anything about them. I'd rock a 3.5 in an F150 though. Don't tell anybody I said that. :anonymous:

had a 2011 super crew 3.5, great truck. towing the 3.5 got worse milage than the 5.0 tho. unloaded the 3.5 will get 28MPG. The 5.0 is cheaper to. I would never get the 2.7 EEVERRRR

my problem with the ecoboost is longevity.... they make SO MUCH POWER out of such a small motor.... coming from a world of high strung race 4 stroke motors in the dirbike world.... you dont get a small motor that produces such big power without sacrifice... mainly longevity.

I drove a 3.5 ecoboost and while it was quick... the power came on all sorts of weird, and it just had nothing down low untill you got into the boost, and when you did, mpgs fell like a rock. I cant even imagine the 2.7L screamer....

Id get a 5.0L v8 and keep it simple and reliable, but thats just me.

I can't talk you down. I came from an F-150 and I'll return to an F-150* when this Taco is toast.

I am personally facing the same issue. I haven't driven the 2.7eb yet, but the 3.5 rocks. I told myself I would give the GM 6.2 with the 8 speed a fair shake before I made any decision though.

See, that's not a valid argument though. While anecdotal, I drove an F150 for years that, besides a dead 10 year old battery, never let me down.

And, anyone can do that stuff to any name:
