DId you contact the vendor to let them know? it could be almost anything, a trojan/virus on the person's PC inside the company that processes the charges, OR a hacked server, or whatever.

I had the same thoughts as LeftCoastNerd. Contact the vendors and let them know.

I highly doubt either company is being malicious. I've purchased plenty from Rallylights (susquehanna motorsports) in the past without issue and worked with them in developing the H11 harness, standup guys. It could even be the the 3rd party credit card processing company has been hacked, completely independent of the company.

But bring attention to the issue is a key line of defense. If two independent people contact them and tell them the same thing, they will take it seriously.

I just want to make sure I order the right things. I'm planning on ordering the Osram 100/90W, but do I need to also order the relay harness? Can I not just order the bulbs and plug & play? Thanks!

YES, you NEED the upgraded harness w/relays to run those bulbs.

NO, you should NOT just "plug & play" on the stock harness, unless you want to roast marshmallows over the vehicle fire likely to ensue.

As @Norton mentioned, you will want the harness for the 100w bulbs. If you wanted to go with just bulbs only, look at the Volsa bulbs I listed in the original post.

Even if you were to run the original 85w bulbs without the harness, output will be restricted, noticeably impacting the performance of the upgrade. The standalone harness is just as much a part of the upgrade as the bulbs.

Not the same bulb you asked about, but I am using the Vosla 60/55w +100 H4 (from Candlepower) with an OEM harness (for now) and feel it was worth it with my 2013. No heat issues either.

I searched Google as well as Candelpower.com and didn't see the exact bulb you referenced, so maybe you are referring to the Vosla 60/55w +100 H4?

You are correct. I am no good typing on touchscreens! :) Thanks for the feedback. I think I will try them out.

Do the higher wattage bulbs cause any melting of the harness or headlight housing?

I have a projector retrofit on my truck, but I think I need to apply a lot of the lessons from this thread to my dad's Dodge Ram. The headlights on his truck are useless!

Going to put mine in this Weekend Crash. I've been holding out because my life on the original upgraded bulbs has been perfect. I remember I burnt one out rather quickly when I first did your Mod(more a fluke than life span problem). But the second set is still going strong. But I can't hold out any longer. Time to get the 100 Watters in there. My reasoning is more night time driving due to winter. But I was looking for any excuse I could find to be truthful.

This is the route I decided to go. Retaining factory wiring. A "stage 1" upgrade if you will. Headlights and fogs. I will have the Pro headlights as well.

I discovered something that I did not like when I ordered the harness for the ultimate fog light upgrade before thanksgiving. When I was ordering it with Ray they still had my credit card number on file from when I ordered this harness over a year ago.

I think if you have ordered from them in the past you should call them and ask them to delete your private info.

I don't think so. It wouldn't stop me from ordering though. Just ask them to delete your info.

LOTS of companies do it so, in the absence of an authoritative reference, I doubt there's anything illegal happening.

We're also wandering far afield from this thread's subject. Recommend we :stayontopic:
