I purchased it on eBay (think it was a 1-off) and took advantage of the $20.00 promotion they ran a week or so ago.
Initially I was bummed because it plugged in and started the truck, but the TRD was on its side when installed. Had to work on it to get the TRD up right.

He said had the light changed and trim ring painted from the company he purchased it from. He did credit me 1/2 of my purchase price as it did not fit, I am good with the purchase.
I was told the part number was the -00003 version, just modded.

Not sure I'd mod anyway. I like the green as it stands out at night

That is what I did, and just happened upon the switch I received. It was priced the lowest at the time, so I bought it.
Here is the link to the site where the person I purchased the switch from said it was purchased.

It looks like maybe someone bought both the -0003 and the -0002 and swapped the internals to get the Blue LED. That's my assumption.

To you guys that have installed this button...
Does your "dead fob battery start" work as the original switch did, or are you dead in the water if caught with a dead fob battery...??
To check this, you would have to remove the fob battery and then try to start the truck by placing the fob up against the switch. It's supposed to start this way in case of a dead fob battery..!! I have not tried this yet, but I'm gonna soon on mine.

Hostile much, great attitude by the way! Get your point bud but maybe list things that don't get use instead of things that clearly get used mall crawler and actual crawler. Proves your point better. Sorry youre upset someone corrected you after you tried calling someone else out...need a safe space for your hurt feelings?

That's a pretty smart idea. Interesting. I think I might try it out. Thanks for the info.

Couldn't you swap internals from the stock unit into -0003 to retain blue LED?
    Sounds cheaper to me...

...Good point... I haven't looked at the internals of any of these so I have no idea if this is even plausible.

OK, I just tried to start the truck "without" a battery in the fob.... works as described...!!
I just placed the fob (Toyota symbol side) next to the button, stepped on brake and the dash lit up...pushed start and away she went...
I was wondering is this will still work if you replace the switch with this one...!:confused:
