Paint mark those bolts so you can tell if they move easily.. some have a bad habit of backing themselves out

    None. Yet.
Poverty spec, that's awesome! Mine is the same way, but its a hand-me-down from grandfather, to dad and to me. Nothing better than free tacos.

We should start a new sub group of owners and put PS after the Tacoma badge. We can maybe even start a "show me your poverty spec tacos" thread.

I wheel it but I haven't noticed it flexing enough to make any noticeable noises or scratches besides on the filler piece just a little bit. The part near the body panels has enough clearance that I don't think it'd hit the panels, i might stick some sort of 3m pads in there or something to keep it away a bit from the grille and whatnot though. It doesn't flop or seem flimsy at all, very firm, 1/8 is a pain to weld anyway. I do plan to get a winch in the distant future, can't imagine how I'm gonna install it Ill probably have to take the bumper off or something, not sure how that'll go.

Yeah I need to do that. Put a good dose of loctight on them. But it got dark on me. Fortunately all the old ones were good and tight and stayed tight without any loctight

I replaced mine about 2 weeks ago (with loctight) and they came loose 2 days later. Thankfully I paint marked them.. now a firm believer in paint marking :D

What do you all think about these?

There are no U-bolts, this kit comes with 8 - 4" x 5/8" grade 8 bolts that are threaded into the wings made from 1/2" plate

The ones I ordered from them two months ago came with bolts, I was told they didn't but they did. So I now have extra bolts.
