First timer with soldering gauge cluster

    Ok guys and tips tricks and things you might do different! I have never soldered just fooled around with it. I am going to order my LEDs... Best spot u guys got them? Then tackle the job... how do I change the needle color? And after seeing all the different colors here I have so many to choose from, should I get extra as a back up?

    Use electrical grade solder (not acid core) heat the metal or wire not the solder, use soldering paste or flux. Use only the amount of heat needed and keep the tip of the soldering iron or gun clean........

    pretty sure the needles are stuck red.. I'm on the same page man, I plan to change the LEDs to blue and white. Careful about the needles though, cause I removed my cluster to do this a while back an accidentally knocked off the needles and took me awhile to get them accurate again lol good luck and post an after pic please.
