Thats a great rate. If I factor in my house and other SUV you have like $600 savings over me. I may need to reach out to Travelers.

... ^^^ ... USAA has been fantastic to me for a long time ... but, Clark Howard and others rate Amica Mutual Insurance close to or parallel to USAA in customer service ... but it probably costs more ... and you get back a dividend payment with no claims too.

FWIW ... marry a veteran and you and your kids can pass down the USAA bennies from family to family.

Marry a veteran who legally rates a 100% disability from VA and you will pay little or no property & other taxes taxes (depending on veteran's status and state laws) ... plus get a zillion other bennies the pass on to the wife.

The FBI just broke up a group of females who were targeting legally disabled veterans for their bennies and even VA employees have been caught stealing veteran's identities to grab their bennies ... some bennies from military service are priceless.

Credit score is the biggest factor, then driving history, then your occupation. One of the new outlets shopped insurance, and the difference in occupation alone, made up to a 30% difference in cost. You need to input a boring responsible professional occupation, like accountant when shopping insurance. I pay $1136 a year in Texas on my double cab 4x4 Tacoma. I also have a 18 year old female driver on my policy, and a 15 year old with a learners permit. I pay $3200 a year for 3 fairly new cars, with no claims or accidents. Seems high, but at one point, it was $5400 with two at fault accidents.

That's what my agent told me too....I have great credit, clean driving history and very steady job history and I thought my premiums were kinda high. She said mine were pretty good actually.

But after seeing what others pay on here I'm not so sure. State Farm $82.00 a month or so.

Yea, that's not bad, plus State Farm is very good. My father spent his whole life at an insurance company, and he said all the rating categories are a waste of time. If they rated just on credit score alone, they would be just as accurate. It's not fair to people with a low credit score, but I think he's right.

I could never deal with State Farm. They are always trying to sell me renters insurance with my auto and telling me $87.00 was a good deal. My monthly payment w/full coverage is $51.00 (Farmers Mutual Hail) they are out of Iowa.

That's all of them it seems. Try joining the NRA. I was a member for one year. I must have received a dozen or more urgent requests for donations, and every type of "NRA endorsed" product solicitations known to man. I have GEICO and they have been great. Very responsive with claims. I stopped going out of my way to have a local agent, when I realized they have no control, or input in the claims process. They are super nice people, that mean well, but are generally useless when you need help.

$900/yr, 300k/500k, 100k property, $200 deductible on everything. It's been a couple years since I've had an accident but at one point State Farm canceled my coverage.
