Hey guys just want to see if any of you guys have ever used Mavcoat steel shield corrosion protection. I know there are other products out there for undercarriage coating protection like the 3M undercarriage rubber coating, or the famous Fluid film. But I stumbled upon Mavcoat products and iv got to say, it looks great bc it's dry when the application is completed. And it leaves a "protection film" between surfices. It looks promising bc people like @dunewhore in IG uses this for his baja bug, on his bare metal surfaces...he uses it for his LONG TRAVEL kit for extra protection. I'm looking into investing on this product but I need an honest opinion! And no I don't live in the east cost, actually I live here in dry Hollister CA. And I'm OCD when it comes to rust issues. Planing to go to Tahoe next month for 2 weeks. Need some sort of "extra insurance" for my suspentions and undercarriage components! Thanks guys lets start this thread going!!!

I used CRC Heavy Duty Corrosion Inhibitor, its a waxy like spray, seems to have held up well so far on my truck.

Why not use something proven like Fluid Film, instead of a brand no one knows about?

It's not like I didint want to use fluid film, it's just I wanted to do more research on other brands. But in the same time, I wanna avoid the thick waxy/wet look of the fluid film. And yes I know it works.

I have used FF for years on the frame and any other "solid" parts under the truck.
I did buy a can of MavCoat for the new suspension that was installed in August. Applied it to all new components.
It is much drier than FF and seems to coat very well. I haven't made it through a NE winter yet, so we'll see what comes from that.
Which reminds me....I have to get under there and hose the undercarriage down with FF again.
One of the cons with MC is that it is not available at all auto parts stores like FF is. Another thing to consider.
