One Day Off-Road Trail Run? Coming from San Diego

I am coming to AZ for Thanksgiving, staying in the North Scottsdale area. I only have one day to off-road. Any suggestions? I was thinking of the Apache Trail but I am open to suggestions. I wanted to get up to Payson/Forest Lakes eventually if possible.

I have a 2016 TRD Off-Road with coilovers and bypass, so high speed, open desert would be my preference. But..the GF is coming so I want to show her scenic areas as well.

I would head up the 17 to Sedona and hit Broken Arrow. At least on Thanksgiving the Pink Jeeps wont be running.

This is the states most known and scenic trail through the red rocks

Broken Arrow if you're going for Scenic.

 

apache trail is not going to be what you're looking for, its basically a tourist casual drive. Really cool but not really off-road. What day were you looking to go?

I'll be on Broken Arrow on Friday as well. I'll run it once and then the family and I are going to do some hiking.
