If you can, please help. I did not know the guy but have heard about him. I surf the same spot often.

From GoFundMe.com "Sunday 11/6/2016 Dana Brown was out surfing at the Huntington Beach Pier in California and caught the last wave of his life.. He was slammed into one of the pillars going underwater for minutes before surfers saw and swam him and towed him to shore, gave him CPR and rushed him to the hospital. Dana has been on respirator. Dana had lost his father George in March
had a very diffcult time with this emotionally and financially, after his birthday he decided to get away and had spent many a wekeend with his father at graveyard.
Its not secret the videos on surfline , you tube , and the articles all over facebook before his family or friends would even know. We received word yesterday that the damage from the hit along with being submerged for that long was too much for him and he's been taken off life support. Every who genuinely knew Dana, like me who surfed with him a lot at 16 streets and elsewhere he and his dad loved to travel in there van. They were very religious and Godly men. If there was a way to go out, he'd be proud to do it doing something he loved. He's happy to be with his father again and we all are going to miss him. Beloved always Dana a veteran, son, brother ,uncle, cousin, humble happy spirited man .. At the least out of respect if you can any amount help to contribute to any expenses, medical, burial , ecetera the assist Brown family may have in this difficult time.. God bless and thank you."
