Hey all, first time poster here. Combed through a lot of similar threads but About 6 months ago my clutch broke down and me not having oodles of cash for a full rebuild bought a cheaper clutch kit and asked a shop to simply replace it. Last month I was having issues with my clutch dropping to the floor while driving, requiring me to reach down and pull it back up with my fingers to avoid stalling. A friend and I replaced the master and cylinder and all was well for a few weeks.

Recently, I've noticed that the clutch will be dropped to the floor after being parked and off for a while so I'll pull it back up 3 or 4 times until it returns to normal. It doesn't drop down while driving, though being paranoid I will sometimes pull the clutch back up with my toes if I feel it sinking. Additionally, the gears are shifting pretty rough, I'll have to rev a little more or sometimes force it into first.

The friend that helped me with the master and cylinder used to be a mechanic when he was younger, but that was 5 or 6 years ago so I wouldn't be surprised if he and I didn't adjust the play properly or completely flush the air out of the fluid. He also suggested replacing the fluid in the shifter (though I can't find much information about this, not sure if it's relevant to Tacos).

I know that the clutch kit I bought was on the cheaper side, but it only saw about 4 months, maybe 5,000 miles of stop-and-go city rush hour traffic before I took a new job with a less obnoxious commute. The transmission fluid doesn't seem to have leaked at all and is still nice and clean.
