Possibly puchasing a 2003 - 6in lift w/35s

I saw a nice 2003 Tacoma V6 with a 6inch Fabtech lift and Weld rims with 35's on them. Im currently going back and fourth on the price but I'm concerned because I'm not familiar enough with these trucks and lifts to know what to look for. It has about 60k miles on it. It has an auto trans and an extended cab. Any advice is appreciated.

Has the gearing been changed in both front and back to accommodate the larger tires? Has the speedo been adjusted also if not the mileage/speed will be off by about 20% or so.

Change the gearing? You mean the rear axle gears? Im not worried about the speedo... I can calibrate the truck myself. If the gears haven't been changed, is it worthwhile? Expensive?

I mean axle gears in the front and back. If you only change the back you will not be able to use four wheel drive. If he hasn't changed the gearing the truck will most likely be very underpowered (was with my '87 but it did only have a 2.4l) I have recently purchased an '04 and in fact this is my second post. Just lurking here to see what is up with the newer first gen trucks. For the most part the gears have to be changed by a professional since some specific setup tools are required. It will bring some life back into the truck but with the drawback of being weaker. There is ALWAYS something else affected by everything you do and it usually isn't in a good way!!
