thanks guys. im at my wits end with these people. maybe this is wrong of me to think this. but these people dont deserve to live in the community. never do i wish ill upon someone but they assholes are cheating the system and need to be caught and punished for it. sucky thing is... no one will pass the HOA just for something pitty like this. pisses me off pretty good though.

casters sound like a good idea... maybe just put it on the casters and wheel it over in front of their driveway? hmmmm.... :spy:

    is this illegal?

might be... but what they dont know wont hurt them!

many times, tho a local municipality may have "jurisdiction" certain tasks such as county code enforcement, evictions etc are handled by the local sheriff...

yeh the P.D. told me as long as it has current tags and is worth more than 700 dollars. there is nothing THEY can legally do other than ask the neighbor to move it in the driveway. He said that if we had a HOA, then that would be a different story and they could legally tow the car. I am gonna give the sheriff a call tomorrow and see what they have to say.

I was working for a very reputable employer in my area. I was living out of a hotel 2 hours from home. Now granted, I am not a trouble maker at all and really never have been. I returned on a Friday night only to find a 72 hour tow notice on my vehicle along with a parking ticket for storage on the street. I was not parked illegally, and everything about the car was legal, license, insurance, etc. I contacted the officer (sergeant) and contested the findings. I was told that vehicles need to be moved every 3 days, and I explained who I was working for, where I was, and also how much this company pays in B&O taxes towards their salary. I refused to pay the simple $2 parking ticket and notified them that I would see them in court. To mske a long story short, I went through the FOIA and contacted the Cheif of Police for some of this info. When he asked about the reguards of the matter, I explained it to him, and he in turn gave an a$$ chewing, and tore the ticket up. These laws are different in different towns, if your local officers won't help, go to the next level, which I am assuming is county. If you live on a state highway, then it is possible to get the division of transportation, or highways to do something.

Go and buy a fire hydrant and place it by the car. Then call it in and tell them that some idiot has parked in front of the hydrant. OR call into 911 for a trashcan fire in your back yard and when the fire department comes they will move it for you.

OOOOHHHHH 1 more. Everytime tyou go outside, make it a habit to pour a cup of road/sidewalk salt on the roof and or suspension components. I know roads get salted in Ohio.

How do they know how much its worth? what if its worth 750?
Are they going by kbb or nada for used car values?
Hang in there - I hate white trash too. Rally the neighbors and ask them to help you keep up the property values!

i was wondering the same thing as I drove past it this morning.... the same car with low miles might be worth 3k (these are just random #s) but if it has a ton of rust and crap, it may be only worth 1k. or visa versa.
