    Hey all,

I'm about to jump ship from the east coast (VA) and move to the Eugene/Springfield area. The GF got an amazing job offer with a 35% pay increase, and we've been considering moving out that way for a year or so. I'm flying out there next week for a job interview and to scout out some potential areas to live. We're looking for a 2BR, 1.5BA house, something smallish. Our budget is up to about $1400/mo. We don't want to be near the university and want something a little more secluded. We have a camper and two cars, so we need some room for parking. We'd love to find a place with some acreage outside of town where we can build fires, shoot guns, etc., but I doubt we're going to find that to rent, at least not at that price. Anyone have any suggestions for areas for me to check out? Time is pretty limited and I'm trying to maximize the trip. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the later reply but just saw this. I grew up there for several years. Check out Creswell, Cottage Grove, and Junction City for a place close to Eugene but outside of town. I wouldn't recommend Springfield, that's just a good place to get robbed.
