Yeah, I wish I drove the Tundra before I bought my RAM. I didn't think it'd be that much of a difference, but it is a HUGE difference. My RAM feels like a dog compared to the Tundra, and I have the 5.7L Hemi. That 6 speed in the Tundra is just so smooth and way better than the RAM transmission.

I don't think it is fair to criticize a Tacoma for not being a Tundra. Two different trucks. Not sure your disappointment with your Tacoma is on Toyota.

I'm glad you mentioned this. I have similar issues with my truck. It keeps making me have a funny feeling like I want to be on vacation. Even worse...the service department basically told me that they can't do anything about it. I guess I'll have to deal with it for as long as I own this truck.

I have 60,000 on my 16 Taco ... (4x4 dbl cab V6 auto transmission) No probs here so far .... Really enjoying the new style and the ride is much better! I also had a 2008 Taco same specs and put 600000 on that truck ... For me since I drive many miles I really wont' be truly satisfied unless I get a min of about 400 k which is why I buy Toyota. Fingers crossed! lol

I have a '16 and absolutely love mine. Now, had some problems out of the factory (low transmission fluid and sunroof wasn't bolted down) but the dealer fixed them hassle free. 25,000 miles later and no complaints.

17 to 20 mpg in a Tacoma is nothing to write home about. Its ok, but for the last 20 years they have had the same gas mileage.

More than a Tundra...true. But I think Tacomas should get 20 mpg. Maybe my foot is too heavy, but I only get 17-18. Almost all city...very little highway. I also don't even have 1000 miles on it yet and I've heard that it will get better after it is a little more broken in. Of course, if it were a real complaint, I could have gotten a 4 cyl. This post is NOT a complaint about my truck...just a minor thing I noticed. I love my '17 Pro.

2017 Tundra is supposed to get 21 mpg, thats with a tailwind and slight downhill, but not much worse than Tacoma
