Hey All! I am bringing in my 2016 TRD OR later this week for its first scheduled maintenance. Does anyone have any recommendations for things to have looked at? I know initially there were quite a few service complaint threads floating around on the forum and wanted to see what everyone ended up doing for service.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks all!

Do you have any concerns with your truck?
If there is anything that is bothering you bring it up, if all you need is the tire rotation and sunshine treatment, that is all they need to do.
    How is your transmission acting?
    Does your diff howl?
Do you need the plugs in the A arm?
    Does your springs squeak?
    Are your Ubolts tight?
    Does your hood vibrate?

Transmission seems fine - It does seem to downshift needlessly sometimes, but have found that of other Toyota's in the past too so not sure if its a major concern or not?

No noticeable howl from the diff

Do you need plus in the A Arm? - Honestly no clue? Sorry for stupidity

Are your UBolts Tight? - No noticeable issues, but anyway I can confirm at home?

No issues with the hood vibrating.

    Thanks for your help!

Just make the appointment for your 5K new vehicle service. Mention any concerns. That's it. I had my dealer turn off the seatbelt beeper.

Also if your dealer techs are known to be lazy I would mark my rear tires with chalk or something to make sure they actual rotate them.

Nothing yet... Bought it with TWO miles on it!!!
    +1 on the seatbelt chime.
    +1 on marking the tires.

I also changed my oil at the 5k, and the 15k mark. For 50-something bucks for Mobil1 and a Toyota filter, waiting until the 10k mark didn't make sense on a truck I plan on keeping for the long haul.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I'd switch out the rear diff fluid

Is there a TSB for the hood vibrating? I took mine to the dealer and they gave me the typical "couldn't duplicate issue" response

Just don't make the same mark on each tire...

Yep. I did oil & filter change at 1600mi a few days ago. Pretty simple, particularly if you already have all the stuff to do it with. Pretty easy for the unwary to drain the transmission instead of the oil pan, so pay attention if you're a newbie at this.

I paid around $50 for the Toyota oil & filter when I was picking up something else from the parts counter a month ago. Bought the filter wrench from Amazon for $15.
