I currently have Lamin-X on my headlights, and need to replace it (installation issue, not product problem.)

The question is, replace with Lamin-X or Clear Mask?

The reason I ask is, with the Lamin-X, I can see a slight pattern in the light beam. Not enough to be overtly noticeable or bothersome while driving. (I really only see it when looking for it.)

My last truck had Clear Mask on the lights, and I never noticed a pattern.

That being said, Lamin-X is thicker material, and I am sure that is what creates the pattern.

    Anyone else notice it?

I'm interested if either/any product prevents or delays the lens hazing.

I get it as far as bug etchings and small abrasions go. But the eventual hazing is the light killer.
