Is anyone planning on going to the TDS Desert Safari this year? We were thinking about putting together our own group for a seperate trail run, so let us know if you're going and if you're interested in joining us! Also, if camping, we can set up a group camp to get all the Toyotas together amidst the Jeeps!

Here's more info about the event from http://www.tdsdesertsafari.com/

"The Tierra Del Sol Four Wheel Drive Club of San Diego is presenting its 48th Annual Desert Safari on March 5 – 7, 2010. Safari will be located at the Truckhaven Hills Area of the Ocotillo Wells SVRA Park, on State Route 22, just 23 miles east of Borrego Springs and 3 miles west of Highway 86.

The TDS Desert Safari has become one of the premier off-road events in the country, second largest only to the Moab Easter Jeep Safari. We hope to have over 1,500 vehicles registered with approximately 8,000 in attendance."

Count me in! Should I schedule a trailer to pick me up now or should I wait?

This area is definately 2WD friendly, but our run will be more 4WD oriented, however there are bypasses for almost everything, or the 2WD trucks can get together and do a seperate run perhaps.

Ha ha! You should be all set up now, right? But, I should have a trailer there just in case. You weren't the only one trailered out that day, I had to drive my truck back so we could trailer George's FJ!

So are we camping or just doing a day run???

Don't pick on Brandon, since I just noticed I had my hand in my pocket too!

So far it sounds like we'll have a decent turn-out! Should be fun! Don't forget to register for the event so you can get in on the HUGE raffle. I'm not sure what we're donating yet, any suggestions?
