I wish I had a speech to text program cause I need to say a lot but going to shortcut it.
Nothing on the shift. However if toy pull on the shifter before fully stepping on the brake you need to release everything and step on the brake first then pull the shifter. I imagine it's a interlock issue and not a parking pawl. I could be wrong.
No codes are unusual however I have seen it. Light on and then off on restart could be a sign of a shorting af sensor. Could be apiece of crap in the mas sensor. The only way to see what's up is have the scan tool on it while is doing this to check the readings. If it's running good most of the time then everything should be hooked up correctly. It didn't happen after a service did it?
Right now I have nothing and not going to pretend otherwise.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.
I wen with this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JTRINA8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I had to use the Dremel on the blank in my 3'rd Gen, but it was easy to do. I think It is designed for a 2nd Gen.

Those tires have an aggressive tread design that will get you thru any terrain you're driving thru

A little news. Saw a picture from a coworker of a 2016 Tacoma V6 with the block split right down the middle between the 2 banks. And I mean split. Like a 2 inch gap. Top to bottom. Just the pic no info.

That sounds like what happens to a older Ford 5.0 block and common when pushing over 550 hp . The block will split right down the center of the main web and lifter valley . Only thing holding the block together is the intake manifold and oil pan

Thank again Don, that looks like a well made switch. I ordered some low profile 3"x 2" Pods and still need to pick up the brackets and a compatible switch. I'll probably go with this one. Thank you.
