Evening guys. Just wanted to check in. Has any baja owner had issues with their Baja rear Bilstein shocks and remote reservoirs rusting?

yup mine were when I had my truck and was told it's normal with them when I talked to the dealership. Still worked fine just looked crappy compared to when they were new.

Silly follow up question. Is it possible to drain and recharge the reserviors and shocks? Or would they need to totally replaced

I think it's possible but as far as I know you would have to send them to Bilstein to get rebuilt and do it. Don't take my word on that 100%.

The Baja shocks are bare aluminum. They don't rust, but they do corrode. The preferred solution is to coat them in Fluid Film to seal out moisture. The Pro suspension supposedly solved this with a clear coat on the shocks.

The Bilstein shocks are supposedly serviceable, however if they carry the TRD logo Bilstein will not service the shock. Aka, total replacement.
