10 year warranty! No worries... The last one was installed in 1987 and was going to cost $800 to fix. our monthly bills are crazy because of really poor insulation. This will help, but I need to seal up this leaky old gingerbread house.

Which model are you looking at? Over the past two years I've owned two. I loved them for what they're meant for, but in the end I got a truck because I just miss being up high. Overall Subaru's are great though. They keep you very safe and are reliable.

Currently own a 2010 Impreza Outback Sport 5MT. Original owner and now has 110k miles on it. It was used as a commute car mostly and has done some trips up to central Oregon in summer/winter. Also a bike hauler. Car at the beginning spent 1 winter in Chicago too.

That model year range had some serious issues with oil burning (I believe there was not a full recall but notice put out on the '11s for it). My engine went through all of the oil at 30k miles and I ended up needing a new short bloc put in (Subaru covered the charges fortunately otherwise I would've been screwed) - granted I was commuting daily on Highway 17 at that point but at 5k miles?
    Other mechanical issues:
    - had multiple issues with a front driver side blinker which many people though was the light broken but it was the circuitry.
    - new clutch plate at ~80k miles. these are apparently designed poorly so they fail eventually.
    - new plugs at ~90k miles.

Besides that it's been very dependable. Peppy when you're solo in it; feels sluggish (to me) when loaded. Fun car to drive over highway 17 as well.

I'm selling mine for a Taco. I am not sure at this point if I'd buy again. I'm selling mine if you're interested

Thank you for the detailed review! I appreciate the offer but I'm looking for something a little newer with lower mileage.

I'm looking at the Impreza wagons. My wife and I have always wanted a Subaru, so I'm thinking why the hell not. It's either that or another Honda, but I think a little change is in order.

The Vietnamese vermicelli is better. Pho is good and I never would have discovered bun niet tuong without going in to try pho.

Popping up? It's been around for centuries. Any Vietnamese restaurant will have it. It's a broth and noodle soup, you choose the meat. Chicken, beef, tendon, tripe, meatball etc...

Also comes with bean sprouts, basil leaves, onion, jalapeños and lime wedges.

You dump all the goodies in the hot broth and it cooks it.

I love it, perfect on a cold stormy day like today. My go to spots in Sonoma County are Simply Vietnam in Santa Rosa and Mai Vietnamese in Cotati.

I need to expand my horizons. I've honestly never tried Vietnamese food. Looks like a trip to try Pho today is in order!

I used to go a place once a week for lunch about...shit...20 years ago. Not for pho, but lots of other good stuff, and always the ice coffee with condensed milk. Very cheeky.
