Rear ABS Connector Wires Broken - Help needed.

Hey guys and gals. Could use a little help:

2011 TX Pro

Somehow I ripped the 4 wires out of the female end of the rear ABS connector. There are 4 different color wires on my 2011; black, yellow, white, and tan. Because the wires pulled out of the connector I'm not sure which wire goes to which connector on the female end.

It would help me a ton if someone knew (or had a pic) how these wires connect. The gray ABS connector is located on the bracket above the black connector also shown in the pic. Both are located above and behind the rear axle.

Each set of blue and white wires on the make connector are from the ABS sensors in each rear wheel.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thought I would post the solution:



The damaged connector caused the following issues:

ABS Light = constant on
Brake Light = constant on
Traction Control Light = constant on
Check Engine Light (CEL) = constant on
Speedometer = not working
Odometer & trip-meters = not working
Cruise Control = not working

CEL Codes Thrown = P0500 - Speed Sensor

Fix:

Replaced 4 pin connectors.
Determined which wire had voltage
Connected as shown above
Removed Neg Batt Terminal (to clear CEL)
Jumped Pin 4 and Pin 13 in OBDII port.
Tuned ignition on
Reset ABS by hitting brake peddle 8 times in 5 sec.
Turned off ignition
Removed jumper
Started truck
All lights on dash went off.

Haven't driven much since the fix, but can confirm all lights are off and spedo / odometer works.

 

@OdinBow I know old thread... but where did you find the diagram? I pulled the blue and white wires which is showen in your photo and am trying to figure out which goes where.

 

Sorry for the late reply. White wire go in positions 1&3. Blue go to 2&4. Good luck. I’ve had no issues since my fix. Crap. Just jinxed myself I’m sure.

@OdinBow Did you get a new connector? Where did you find it?

 

Does it matter which white wire goes in 1 or 3? Same question for the blue ones.

 

I don’t think so until you have a sensor go out. If they are wired backwards you may need to troubleshoot both sides to figure out which one needs replacement. I haven’t had any issues and figured it’s a 50/50 chance of getting it right. So, I’m sure I’ll be rewiring it eventually.

82998-12440. It was a bit heavier gauge wire but worked fine. Good luck.
