When I first start the truck and take off usually the first time I apply my brakes I hear a decently loud clank noise. When I push the brake petal in and sometimes while releasing it! To me it sounds like the noise is comming from the brakes!? Has anyone else heard a noise like this in their truck?

Yeah, as stated, it's a standard feature of our trucks.

You didn't negotiate for the feature when you bought your truck

A little brake grease on the back of the pad fixes it. NOT on the side that contacts the rotor. You'd think that would be obvious, but it's been done - not by me, mine still clank.

That noise drove me nuts for the longest time, I finally fixed this on mine a few weeks ago. It very easy and cheap :) oriely auto parts has the brake pad springs for about $3. Change the spring and pack the areas around the pins with brake grease so that they can slide freely, but silently. MUST BE BRAKE GREASE! Using an Impact to take wheels off, total job took about 20-30 minutes. Now quiet as a mouse. :) (and of course like stated above, a tad of brake grease on the backside of pads)
