I'm telling you man, for someone who doesn't even change the oil himself on my own truck, if I can fully rebuild a s/c to perfection I think you could too.

Trust me, even I looked around to pay someone to do it but most people won't touch it. And the quote that I did get was around $2500, told him politely yet firmly to fuck off.

Lol yeah I'm leaning in that direction, I've still got awhile to go too. Just like having the peace of mind in case I need it

its not required to run the intake, AND if you have the supercharger, the MAF calibrator would need to have the supercharger info put into the calibrator as well for it function properly. Normally, with the MAF Cali, you tell gadget what intake, headers, exhaust combo you have and he can maximize potential in that load so it is specific to your truck. With the S/C, that comes with its own tune, I see the calibrator being a waste.

someone please correct me if im wrong.

Hmm interesting. I jumped the gun before doing the actual research on the calibration. But after looking into in and your info I'll probably just return the calibrator

    Thanks guys!

    I just ordered the following:
    6 x 23291-23010 Injector Insulators
    2 x 96761-35031 Water Inlet Tube O-Ring
    1 x 16326-31020 Thermostat O-Ring
    1 x 22271-0P010 Gasket
    1 x 17176-0P030 Plenum Gasket
    1 x 16325-31010 Water Inlet Gasket

I have oil filters on the shelf and I'll pickup 2 gallons of 00272-SLLC2 Coolant locally.

I'm about to order a new K070834 Gates Serpentine Belt. Probably a silly question, but does the Magnuson kit include a S/C drive belt (Gates K050705 equivalent), or do we need to buy one of those? (I haven't opened my box yet.) :anonymous:

You will need 3 gallons of coolant to fill the intercooler and radiator.

Supercharger kit comes with the supercharger drive belt.

Also a brand new plenum gasket is kind of a bitch to install cleanly. A dab of motor oil on your fingers and sliding around the gasket makes all the difference.

I talked to Gadget about this because I actually have the calibrator installed he told me to tune everything back to neutral because he hasn't developed a tune with the Bullydog flash

Was this easy to do? And tune everything to neutral on the calibrator correct? Still trying to figure all of this out.

Did you have to remove the maf cal to program it? I installed it a while ago and don't remember seeing a connector or anything.

I believe the connector is behind the calibrator cover. IIRC

It's a pain in the ass!
I got the gear wrench 2 ton to work but blew the head on the allen head. Had to drill it out. Rented one from the car parts store and that didn't work.

Nah, there's 4 screws on the plate and take that off. You need a serial - USB cable and the program from URD

Made the appointment to have the TRD flash done on Friday. Hopefully they don't give me any crap. My dealer is usually pretty cool, so I don't see them questioning it. I need to remember to put the ecu back to stock on thursday before taking it in.
