I get between 15 - 15.7 mpg in the city (lots of lights) with 87 Octane gas (5-10% ethanol blend this time of the year)
    16.5 - 17.8 mpg with 89 Octane in city
Trucks stock but I live at a 4500' elevation.
Last highway trip (350 miles at 70 -75 mph) with 91 Octane and truck fully loaded for hunting trip I averaged 20.3 mpg with 4500' - 8500' elevations.
All mpg's were hand calculated and the computer is usually .2 mpg less then the hand calculated results.

My wife drove the truck in the city (with 87 Octane) all day once and got 22.4 mpg....

Question for those of you who use fuelly: Is there any way to filter results and look at those with just manual transmissions? In each vehicle's profile they usually say "automatic 6 speed" or "standard 6 speed" - and what I'd like to do is see just results with the standard/manual.

I've concluded I'm getting another truck. I'm out with my friend with a full size GMC crew cab with a 6.2 v8, even when hauling his gear he gets 18mpg same roads I travel. Better than me by 2mpg and it's a hell of a lot nicer and better equipped.

New truck by Spring for me. I'm not settling for this.

Did you calculate by hand?....285's would throw off your mph and most likely the odometer so the in-dash mpg might be using the wrong info

Its all about the "Smiles per gallon, not the miles per gallon!" :D

Good point. I used the onboard computer, so I'm guessing add a mile per gallon to the results to get a pretty close number. I'm ok with my results. I knew a lift would hurt the miles per gallon, and driving 75. It just proved to me, that the MPG estimates aren't really off, relative to other vehicles I've owned. If I wanted to drive a bone stock truck at 65mph, I would be getting pretty decent gas mileage. When these tires wear out, I will be going down to 265's and dropping the lift. I drive 35K miles a year, and a couple miles per gallon will really help. I don't off road, and I've see a factory suspension with just aftermarket wheels and tires, and I liked it just fine.

Im in Socal at the beach and the roads here are very hilly, and lots of lights with traffic so you dont really maintain speed. Its very stop and go. I think the 18 city is where its flat and not as congested like here in cali. I got 28.8 on the hwy once... I was super excited but I average 13 mpg on my tanks. Its terrible

Just drove my new ride home from dealer... Ran her slow from 40-75 ish, in highway traffic. So maybe with stock truck I will average 20 that is what I am hoping.

This, though the sad part is the fact that my dang muscle car gets more smiles per gallon and miles per gallon than my truck does and it's 14 years old. Until I venture off road that is or fly down a gravel/dirt road without a care in the world. The taco is much better at that than a low slung long nosed Camaro.

On my last fill up I averaged 16.7 MPG over 281 miles of Kansas driving. Mixed highway and city, though I get better MPG in the city than on the highway, go figure. My car is the other way around as it should be. Maybe 17 city 23 highway averaging a little over 20 right now, 21 if I don't do 0-60 runs, haha.

As usual, the issue is when causing down the highway if I hit the slightest incline or headwind it's straight into 4th gear I go. 3K+ RPMs for many miles sucks down the gas.

Also, sounds like you could use one of these.

Not on mine. I can feather it like a hypermiler and still get shitty gas mileage.

I tend to average 18-23mpg (hand calculated) in stock form, and that is with a Yakima rocket box in truck bed set just below roofline.
