Doesn't sound quite the same as my springs, they were more squeaky than clanky. But it could still be the issue. I finally got Toyota to replace them after three trips to the dealer and next step was getting corporate involved or I was going to go for a buyback as I'm still not 100% happy with this truck the way I was with my Tundra for 100K miles. But they ended up replacing them. We shall see how long the new ones go before they start squeaking too. It was really stinking loud and could be heard over my exhaust just going down the road with the windows up even.

Hope you get it sorted out!

If it is the leafs. Flex it out on one side to seperate the leafs. Spray between the leafs with a hose, air, or wd40 to clean the crud out. Then repeat on the other side. ( @BrettsMac08 if it comes back try this )

It does sound more like a clank. But if it is determined the leafs are clanking together and dealer doesn't fix it. Near the ends between the leafs add a small thin piece of rubber if there isn't one there already (a piece of bicycle inner tube or similar should work).

It's not the U joints or driveline related.

Just flew back into town from So Cal so haven't had time for dealership between 2 jobs. But it's not really a sqweak I hear anymore. And noise is more rare. It's more a popping sound. And today at a weird angle getting onto the road it made a pop sound in front... Really weird. I need to get time for dealer but if anything I'll have them look at the 5k. My old 16 Tacoma never did it but it wasn't 4wd. But I had that for about 10k miles with no noise..

Mine did the exact same thing for the first several thousand miles, only when the suspension was moved around a lot off road. It seems to have stopped now, not sure why, but the more I used it the less it happened.

Sounds like the brakes to me. Take off the ABS and crawl control and see if you still get the noise
