So Toyota apparently does not sell the ball joint separately, only the entire lower arm for 390 each. I don't want to spend that much, especially because I would be replacing the stock bushings wit poly right away.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the OE balljoints separately or if there is anything better than moog? I would even consider aftermarket control arms but I live in the salt belt and have enough trouble with my upper uniballs even with a top cap. Lowers would be even more difficult to protect from snow and salt. Ideas?

That's still like 560 instead of no more than 200. It's for sure OE though?

    Too few to list.
They were a pain trying to get them out and the loaner BJ press from Autozone was cracked. I took the whole LCA's off and luckily found a shop with a hydraulic press and was able to press out and press in new ball joints for me. I used Moog as well.

Satisfactory? I am kinda skeptical of them. I also wonder if perhaps the lower arms have a service life which is why Toyota only offers them together? Not sure but it doesn't make too much sense they would just do that arbitrary.

I just don't want to spend that kind of money because I'm not even 100% sure I need to yet, I just want to because I plan on replacing my camburg UCA uniballs, bushings, LCA bushing, inner and outer tie rods, and steering rack bushings so it's really the only joint left in the whole front end.

I think Moog is the only choice out there that I've seen unless buying OEM. The arms themselves does not have a service life. The joint and bushings do. Toyota always sells shit together for some reason and not just on Tacoma's. I know the 1st gen TPS sensor is only sold with the throttle body and cost like $1200 when the sensor can be had for like $150. I had to find an OEM sensor from another country. Things can be sold separately but not in the U.S. apparently.
