Place wouldn't be the same without you so I don't care what you're driving to be honest, just keep posting because I enjoy your POV....

I think you need to buy a cement Raptor and call it a day on truck shopping.

That's a good point per the previous comment. But some forget that it has cylinder deactivation to be able to achieve such numbers on the highway. I love my Tacoma and have only had one issue. Squeaking leaf springs which I fixed myself. But I also didn't buy it fuel economy. I could've stayed with my VW for that. But I too take it off-road most people won't and the full size trucks don't fit on most of the trails I use without getting some serious pin stripes.

Taco and Colorado side by side in the daylight. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I think. Both look good, IMO, but in different ways. The obvious difference is of course- the low hanging chin on the Colorado and the deeper bed of the Colorado..

My truck does have a 1.5" lift in front and 2" in the rear.. So Colorado is parked on the uphill side..

Me personally I don't like any aspect of the Colorado. The shitty interior that's been outdated since the 90's to the poor styling. A 4cyl diesel is cool but should've been a V6 imo. Not really meant to go off-road more for city driving. I looked into one but the price was out of range for me with a better equipped, more capable Tacoma. I got a hell of a deal on it and absolutely love it and wouldn't but one of the twins even though the GM looks better on the exterior than the Colorado. Plus that diesel one isn't without its problems. Chevy has been having issues with all makes across the board. I suggest looking into that before making a decision. I'm sure I don't have issues with my truck being it's only an SR5 4wd DCSB. Seems only the higher ebbs models are affected. Just my 2¢. I'm sure you'll choose based on the needs you have.

Both trucks have active hill hold control. Both had to be put into 4wd due to loose pine needles and stock tires. Both made that climb without scraping or bottoming at 5mph.

I traded my 2015 5.3 Sierra for my Tacoma. I would have kept it but with the horrible experience with dealing with gm and the fact that the frame on the Sierra was completely rotten after only 8 months of owning and 6000 miles.
Every weld, seam and cross member had rust and scale all over it.

I never drove it through a winter and it was under coated.

Gm tried to tell me that it was rusting because of the undercoating I had on it (fluid film) and that I will just have to deal with it.

I then decided to trade it on the Tacoma. I went and test drove a trd and took it for a long long test drive. Issue is I never noticed the crappy transmission during the test drive. I should have got a manual sod should have just got some different.

And now with how bad the Tacoma works I wish I would have shopped around a bit more. I love the truck but hate the shifting and Toyota seems to be just as hard to get an answer or advice from.

The dealer told me the shifting was caused because it's direct injection....ugh
If anyone is curious about how bad my Sierra was I can show pictures
