I know I'll probably get shunned for doing this, but I tried searching through threads for the past hour and couldn't find anything on the topic.

My girlfriend and I are about to go on a 2.5/3 month road trip around the country starting in February, and we're planning on using the Taco as our moving bed. I've got my plans pretty set for the back of the truck for the bed/storage/insulation, but would love some advice or examples on that if you've got it.

What I'm really looking for is some help on building a cabinet in the back of the extended cab, I'll be building a simple platform with non skid tape with some hinged doors to access the built in storage but would like to add some extra functionality to the back with places to store things we'll need during driving (snacks, books, etc). I'm also looking to make this non-permanent.

    Thanks!

Check out Expedition Portal as long term vehicle born travel is more their speed.

At the end of the day the design is up to your own limitations of ideas and tools, but I would make a million drawings and a dozen cardboard mock ups before buying any lumber.
