"no spark" - 2004 tacoma - v-6 auto trans

    This is a pre-runner version automatic v-6 engine. The engine just died in the driveway while moving the truck.

    I replaced the igniter with a new unit and did the tests on the cam and crank sensors. (Ohms and AC volt test)

    Getting voltage to the igniter and coils but no spark.

    The only other thing I suspect is the ECU. IDK.

    Can anyone suggest anything else.?

    One more issue ----- It will not give me any codes. have tried 2 different readers and both say "Connection Error"

    Have you tried resetting the ECU by pulling the battery cables off for a few minutes? My 2011 freaked out the other day, reset the ECU been ok since.

    I checked all the fuses. Not the relays.

    I disconnected the battery neg cable for less than 1 minute.
