Hello - picked up my 2017 Double Cab OR TRD this weekend and love the truck but noticed that in the daylight it is hard to see what setting the HVAC fan and temperature is on because the nob indicator is hard to see where it is? I do not have the automatic HVAC controls just the standard ones. The can speed, temp setting and vent flow location are hard to use in the daylight - at night it is fine because the settings on the dial light up. Does anyone make an aftermarket sticker that we can use to identify the marker on these 3 gauges?

Does anyone else feel this is an issue?

    Thanks for your help

I hear you. The 2nd gen. controls were a lot easier to use than the 3rd gen. On my 2nd gen. Tacoma, I didn't even have to look at the HVAC controls to adjust the settings, I just turned the knob an I already knew what temp, speed, vent, ect. it was set at. With my 2017 Tacoma, I have to take my eyes off the road and look at the HVAC control panel to see where the controls are set at. I guess I could just feel the air instead of looking at the settings, though.

Do you need to know, or care?
Can't help you but welcome to the site and congrats on your new truck! I'll admit though, I also have to take my eyes off the road to adjust.

Thanks guys - glad I am not the only one not happy with this. If we could get one of the sticker vendors to create a red or blue sticker to fit over the gray plastic where the indicator is - we could easily see this in the day light :)

I have the auto HVAC, so the stickers solution will not work on my truck.

Haven't noticed mine being to difficult to see. Mine came with the tech package so I'm not sure if they are different from yours. I'm sure you'll master it over time however.
