I recently started towing my ATV on a 5' x 8' Mission Trailer. When I got to around 60 mph the truck body would start to shake. I spoke with the trailer dealer. He suggested I balance the trailer tires. I did that without any luck. Burned 3/4 tank of gas shifting the ATV placement on the trailer and adjusting the tongue height. 3/4 of a tank of gas later I'm no closer to fixing the vibration. Has anyone had this issue and what was the fix?
    Thanks

And your truck is flawless at 60+ w/o the trailer?

For the most part , yes. The heavier the load on the trailer, the worse the vibration is.

Its of really no help but... I tow 5x10 utility trailer around 400lb (give or take) tongue weight. No vibration issues at all. BUT i have never towed without my Andersen WDH. Is the trailer starting to sway?

No sway at all. Dead on right behind the truck.

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
I have the same issue towing a heavy duty 5x8 with dirt bike. mine gets bad around 65 and goes away around 80-85.

The weird thing is when i pull my sea doo it is smoothe as silk.

I took the 5x8 back but they didn't find anything wrong.

I believe that certain tongue weights basically amplify the vibrations that the truck already has. the sea doo is overall about the same weight, but much less tongue weight.

I havnt pulled the 5x8 since i put on the dakars. i will see if theres any change. and i may still install a cb drop as well.

I'm going to try a couple of trailers that my friends have and continue the process of elimination.

It is not your truck, It's the trailer tires... Even if you balance them will vibrate, more likely you have the wrong tire pressure for the type of load and if you do, they are out of wack. When was the last time you replaced the tires?

The trailer is only a couple of years old. It doesn't too much use. I've increased and decreased the tire pressure. The one thin I did notice is when the tires were at 55 psi, I got a vibration at 30-35 mph. The I decreased the pressure back to 30, the vibration was gone. The more people I talk with, I'm being told it sounds like the tires. I spoke with the manager at the tire store where I had the tires balanced and he seems willing to help me resolve the issue. Lets hope. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks for the help.

Once you change the trailer tires, will be gone.. What I did was, instead of buying trailer tires, bought regular passenger tires.
