The Northeast Tacoma Express

What this is - A FREE Community shipping/hauling service that allows members in the Northeast region to acquire and have goods transported and or shipped to them.

Who can become a Tacoma Express Member - Any member of Tacomaworld can join and become a member of The Northeast Tacoma Express.

There are already many vetted Northeast Tacoma Express members that exist from as far south as Georgia, to the most northern parts of Maine, and as far west as West Virginia. If you would like to help out and join us and be a new official member of The Northeast Tacoma Express, you will need to have at least 50 posts and be a TW member for at least one month. Keep in mind, that the Tacoma Express runs solely on the "HONOR SYSTEM" and joining as a member signifies that you are going to be completely transparent in your transports and that you will do everything you can to follow through with that. This also shows that you have a sincere interest in helping the community and are willing to show this commitment to your fellow Tacoma enthusiast. Vetted members will receive a "Tacoma Express" sticker for their Rig to show in pride as well as to show that they can be trusted to make future TW handoffs. Once an Express is completed, you need to create a PM with the buyer (who will confirm receipt of his/her goods) and either @crashngiggles or @loosnut and one will be shipped out to you free of charge.

**If you have not been active for more than a year, your name will be removed from the current list so no one asks you for a TW Express run**

Why we have The Tacoma Express - Someone finds something they want/need and it's farther away than they would like to or can travel to get themselves, or the cost of shipping heavier, bulkier items negates the "good" deal.

How The Tacoma Express works - We have many members than travel from state to state for business and pleasure.....so if there is room, and someone is going that way anyway.....why not help out another member. Some members do this because they were able to use the service and just want to return the favor, and in the process meet other members face to face. Remember, that this is done on a commitment to the HONOR SYSTEM, and there are no fees. A Tacoma Express member, or multiple Tacoma Express members will help get the item(s) to you through a "person to person hand off process" . It doesn't have to be truck parts but whatever it is, it has to be 100% safe and 100% legal to transport.

The Tacoma Express In Action - You (as the buyer) find something you want to purchase. Then it's is up to you, the buyer to find Tacoma Express member(s) (a list of participating members and a "pinned" map with their general location can be found below) that lives near the item you want to buy willing to help get the item(s) to you. If it's a Tacomaworld transaction, even better.....since there will already be an existing B/S/T post or thread involved for transparency. Some people just pop in this thread and ask, "Anyone live near (insert name of city and state here) willing to help with a Tacoma Express?" You will get quicker answers though if you can tag specific Tacoma Express members, as outlined below. Then, you pay for the item if the seller agrees to an online transaction and is willing to meet someone else besides you. If the seller wants cash then you will have to pay whichever TW Express member agrees to pick up the item(s) via PayPal, Venmo, or whatever you agree upon.

However, before you pay anyone you have to coordinate with as many of the members of the TW Express as you can to:

1) Establish the route of least resistance,
2) Use the map and identify which members may be able to help,
3) Personally contact "tag" (add the @ symbol before their screen name i.e. @RobP62) each member involved.
4) Ensure that each Tacoma Express member knows who they will meet, when, where, and what time.
* Note - It's imperative that everyone agrees and is laid out ahead of time. If not then then serious delays can happen, or the process can fail altogether.
5) As the shipment is handed off from one Tacoma Express member to Tacoma Express member, a post needs to be made in this thread tagging the buyer, and the Tacoma Express member that it was passed off from. This will be verified by each party. You will also tag the next Tacoma Express member you are handing the shipment off to and confirmed by them that they are aware the shipment is coming. This is especially helpful on longer, multiple member transports, to ensure a complete tracking process. This also minimizes the possibility of the shipment getting "lost or stolen".

The buyer has to keep in mind that shit can happen, and unforeseen things can always arise to cause delays. Also, keep in mind that this is a free service and your goods can take a while to get to you. This works around people's busy schedules and will be a lot slower than normal "paid for" shipping options. If you need the item in a timely fashion, you may need to choose to pay the seller for shipping it directly to you. If timeliness does not matter, then the The Tacoma Express can/will work for you.

We do have a couple of "TW Express Hub" members that will hold on to your item for a longer period of time just in case if a hold up or break in the chain happens. These people are labeled in the member list.

The TW Express works and many hundreds of TW Express transactions have been made since the start of this thread.

Trying to get @bcrobbin my bestop via TW express, but it looks to be a 7 hour trip. I think 7 hours might be too far for TW express?
