Have you seen the GMC with 1.5-2" lift? I saw one with Icons, 32" tires and it looks bad ass. The GMC twin is a really nice looking rig.

I'm sure it looks great, but I'm done with aftermarket lifts, wheels and tires. other than a tonneau cover and maybe some step bars, this baby is staying stock

Maypearl, you sound "responsible." Not sure your type is wanted around here. :)

Nice, I stand corrected. I read 4 motion and just thought awd and thought I read that in a comparison test years ago against the others. Nice package they have there, I bet it eventually comes here.

I think you're right. LOL Sunday I got kicked off the thread about adding a snorkel, for making fun of a post that said a snorkel is very useful to keep the pollen out of the intake. I think the GM forum is more my speed.

The Tacoma forum is about modding.
The GM forum is about troubleshooting and repair.

In all truth @maypearl I drove my Silverado for 6 years before I had my transmission go. Naturally afterwards I was a bit upset. But honestly, before that, I really did enjoy my truck. It did a great job, towed stuff, hauled stuff, and got me there comfortably.

A new bolt here, a new bolt there, a new bolt everywhere.
I wish they would, but most likely they won't. Since VW would have to build a plant here in the US to avoid a Chicken Tax that was designed to specifically target their trucks

^^^^ Exactly. Very handy site to learn about recalls and such. It is good to know that you can buy those trucks. I thought all GM vehicle were for rental fleet sales and municipal government vehicles.

I own said 2017 because my transmission in my 2011 Chevy Silverado LT2 Texas Edition died at 69,800 miles.

Also, the GM forums, especially www.gm-trucks.com was very helpful for the:

    2 oil pan leaks
    Onstar module failure
Fuel cell breather module failure (I have a cool pic of me removing my bed instead of dropping gas tank, much easier)
    Dashboard lights randomly turned off
    Fouled spark plug #8
    Failed torque converter

Those guys at that forum were pretty helpful, especially troubleshooting the torque converter, because that shudder feeling it made was peculiar and I had not experienced it before, so I didn't know how to describe it.

On the plus side, the Silverado towed insanely better, got comparable fuel econ, was roomier, and held much more in the box.

I guess this came off a bit defensive, but I don't understand the context of your insult. The OP and I have had a very honest and civil discussion about what vehicle was best for him, and I even agreed with him on the Colorado. I have nothing against Chevy's, I just didn't like their midsize options with respect to off road performance. The ZR2 looks very intriguing, and I look forward to driving one as soon as my friend gets one in at his dealership.

*edit = added year of Silverado*
