Are there ANY OBD or ELM327's that can read Trans. Fluid Temp?

I want to do be able to check on automatic transmission temp in real time, can any OBD scanner or ELM327 provide that info?

Yes, you have to set fluid level at certain temp, but im more interested in monitoring for signs of trouble. Getting close to 150,000 miles, better safe than sorry

You have to keep it plugged in for it to work. I keep mine plugged in all the time. I am very happy with it. There are multiple options you can monitor. The trans temp has to be downloaded but is very easy. Everything is easy to work and change. I think the only other option would be ultraguage, which I hear is good also.

Yes, everything it reads is real time.

 

I use an elm327 Bluetooth adapter with the torque app on an Android phone. It doesn't come built in with the trans temp settings, but they are easily inputted.

I have been running a ScanGuage 2 for 4 years.
You can program 2 transmission temps - the pan and the torque converter (or close enough). This is great for towing.
It also adds 2 trip meters and many different gauges as well as code reading and clearing.

 

I learned something today. Now I have to read through the pages to figure it out. Thanks for the link.
