Horn replacement

Just finished replacing the stock beeper with some Hella's....no drilling, used existing bolts on either side of radiator, I believe they were the AC cooler mounts (10mm bolts), a little wiring with added ends, plugged into existing hot lead from old horn, about 35 minutes...they sit nicely behind the front grill and are just slightly visible if you look hard...the hardest part was removing the grill without wacking the locking inserts (I have done this many times, but it still is a pain on the lower outside clips)

These suckers wail now, scared the shiza out of the neighbor when he got home and walked by...

 

Which Hella did you install? The dual round ones or the trumpet type? Did you install one or 2,
It's time for me to replace me wimpy horns

did not need relay as I plugged into the existing horn wire connector, bing bang boom....

and plenty loud enough when needed...

 

Go to Freightliner, they've got what you need... They got some nice horns, not over the top for a taco...

 

Did the sound change or did it get louder?
Higher/lower pitch?
