    Hello,
I just joined the site. I also just picked up my truck, a 2017 Tacoma double cab TRD off road in silver. I have had a Toyota pickup before, but it has been almost 20 years. My last Toyota truck being a 1983 model. I sold a chevy crew cab SB on 35" tires, so this is a much smaller, and more pleasant driver. I intend to keep the stock tires for a while, but don't see anything more than a leveling spacer and a small bump in tire size for this truck, I am pretty content with it the way it is. tacoma.jpg
Does anyone else trip over the stock steps? they are coming off this weekend.
Anyway, thank you for adding me!

    Welcome!

I'm not a big fan of the steps myself either. Ditch'em! Or....Just cut the actually step parts of and leave the main tube and it will look like rock sliders!

I have thought about cutting off the steps. I'm still not sure.

    Welcome.

My truck came with the cast aluminum boards and I hate them. Unfortunately, they need to stay for a while so my kid can climb in.

Thanks. I'm a fan of silver. My last truck was also silver.
I jut ran my first tank of gas through this Tacoma and I am pretty happy. The screen reset but I got like 17 Mpg in mixed driving. That is a huge improvement. About a 7 mpg increase over my last truck. I'm still adjusting to the size, but it is mostly getting in and out. I'm 5'9" and pretty husky.
Driving is really comfortable, and this truck rides and drives so nice.

Here is old truck for comparison. 6" lift with 315's.
