09 cruise control

    09 6 cyl manual
    shortly after buying my 09 tacoma used with 100k and using with no problems I noticed the end of the cruise control on/off button at the end of the CC lever had popped out didnt come all the way out and after checking closely pushed back into housing . from then on I have not had CC, no light on instrument panel , All my fuses are good , I gently pulled button out again to inspect , no damage that i could see . any like experiences and or how to fix??
