Doesn't this sell for around 252$ normally on Amazon anyways?

I think I saw it closer to $300 earlier.

The 450p is listed for $12 more on Amazon, but that's always an option for those who want that one.

The biggest difference is that the CKMA12 is meant to be permanently mounted, and the 400P is portable.

According to specs ARB will put out more air: 3.08CFM vs 400P's 2.54CFM, both @ 0 PSI. Similarly, the ARB is still putting out a higher volume of air at 30psi. Another benefit of that ARB is that it's a 50%-duty cycle, whereas the P400 is 33%-duty. For me, that's a non issue, as at 33% duty the 400P can still be ran for 40 minutes before needing a break, and that's more than enough to fill up all four of my tires from 0 to 40PSI.

The 400P-RV wins out in the accessories it comes with, portability, and max PSI (150 vs ARB's 100). The latter is likely not to be an issue for most people.

Well that went a lot deeper in knowledge than I expected. Guess I'll hold out for the ARB for my personal Christmas setup. I would hard mount whatever I get anyways.
    Thanks!

Nope. 400p vs 400p-RV. There's also a 400p-automatic that's in the middle between these two models. The 400p is also $149.99 shipped on Amazon.

The compressor is the same unit between all 400p products. The difference is in the accessories. I considered the 'bare' 400p, but decided that sooner or later I'd want those accessories anyways, and buying them separately would add up to more than the price difference. Less headache to just buy the whole kit from the get go.

Has anyone used the 400P on 35inch tires? I'm afraid it won't keep up.

Got the 400P-RV today. Very nice kit. Larger than I expected. Components, connectors, etc. all seem to be of good quality. Everything fits nicely into a great storage/transport bag that was part of the kit.

Just had an opportunity to use the compressor. Mom showed up with low tires on all four corners. Didn't catch the tire size, but they're about a 200 profile on 17's (Mazda 3). Inflating from 20 to 35 PSI took about 10 seconds for each tire. Insane speed! My old, cheapo compressor would take 2-3 minutes for that same task. The Viair is much quieter, too. And I also love that once it has primed itself (3-4 seconds of operation), it stays quiet until you depress the inflation handle, so it only runs when you're actively using it. Got to appreciate the quality attachments, too. Super happy with it.
