A 245/70-17 stock tire will fit 17 x 8.5 aftermarket rims right? Sorry for all the dumb questions but can't call a shop on thanksgiving

From my understanding, for an 8.5 in wide rim you will need a wider tire than 245. I think the max on a 245 is 8 inches.

How many threads you need to make for this? big ass wheel for a little tire, maybe you should just wait until tomorrow and ask the seller?

Look up your tire manufacturer's spec for that model/size on tire rack.
