2017 SR DCSB. I feel like the suspension is good, but pretty crappy when I put anything in the bed that has any weight to it. Would it be worthwhile to upgrade to aftermarket or even look at TRD suspension? I know there are quite a few on here that seem to be selling TRD suspension due to them upgrading... any thoughts are appreciated

I assume you are loading within Toyotas guidelines?

Could it be your expectations about how a truck should ride and handle are too high?

How often is it loaded, creating the problem? If occasionally, maybe airbags are all you need.

If you need more, I doubt TRD parts are going to make you happy.

Its not like I haul something every single day. If that were the case a tacoma would not have been purchased haha. The first time I was hauling about 10 bags of mulch it wasn't anything ridiculous, and its usually just stuff here and there. But the truck seems to ride worse with anything over 100lbs in the bed. It could just be the last time I owned a truck it was an F-150 and that was what I am accustomed to.

Airbags. Firestone. Think they are called ride right. Should be just what you need, especially if you have compressed air at home to pump up before your load runs.

And I should also add, I think my truck drives better loaded. Lots of body roll unloaded though. Turning into my work there is a bump in the driveway, and my truck wobbles side to side quite a bit even at very low speeds. I'm looking to dampen that if possible.

The super springs work well if you haul some weight every once in awhile. I have them on my 16 sport and used them on my 08. They won't change the unloaded ride and help with sagging when you carry some weight. I really like them!!

I've got them on my 16 and I really like them. There is quite a bit of info on them in the towing thread.

I appreciate the input guys. Talked to one of my buddies with a 16 and he made the recommendation to wait. I've only had the truck for about 60 days and he said let everything settle a little bit before making any changes, so I think I am going to take that route

How much do they affect the off road capabilities of the truck?

Others in here said they don't affect off road capabilities, but only have driven on fire roads or around my property. And they didn't seem to hinder the performance.
