    Evening all:
:annoyed: Just got done mailing a form in for a refund on part B medicare supplement that is provided by the co. that combined a few of the bankrupt steel co's.
First notification said the form had to be mailed by Feb. 15, but if you didn't opt for the health care plan they were offering us, the form DID NOT have to be sent in and we would be eligible for the refund. Another form came today that must be postmarked by Dec. 1st, this one must be sent in in order to get the refund and the part about not sending it in is not on it like the first one!
I even made a copy of the first one and sent both of them in with the part about not having to send it in circled in red. :notsure:
I have a feeling the refund may be coming to an end, and it seems like they are pushing for us to sign up for a part B plan with Aetna which I don't want.

    Morning all:
Yea, had enough problems with HCTC that should not have been a problem. Like I said, the first form clearly stated that if you don't want their offered health care you don't need to sent the form in, and that you would be still be eligible for the medicare refund that they offer us.
(#4) Going by that, there should be no problem, oh well, see what happens now that I sent the other one in. Notice the plan costs at the top, reasonable but HIGH deductibles and copays.

Having had to work with Aetna to implement Mental Health and Substance Abuse benefits for Aetna, call routing for toll free numbers, I can say they are a PITA to work with.

When the Beth. Steel stopped paying our healthcare, and we went to meetings at our union hall concerning picking up a HC provider, Aetna was talked about as one of the worst! I went with BC BS at the time, but when I went on medicare I switched to United Healthcare through AARP.

Happy belated Thanksgiving all. Was upstate for 5 days with just the missus. Had a good turkey day dinner and relaxed. No computer, or TV and didn't turn the cell phone on but a few times. Nice getting away from it all.

Received a reply back from the Toyota sales rep I have been working with. For a fully loaded Avalon Limited with 0% financing and including taxes, title and tags the cost was around $38,500. This means they went down to around $35,500 for a $42,040 car. Not bad for a 2016 car that has been on the lot for a while. If I could have got the 3K rebate and the 0% financing together we would have bought the car. At least I know I am really close to getting a really decent deal. The incentives change on the 6th of December. I hope Toyota offers both incentives together this coming month or the dealership really needs to sell a lot of units to meet a goal. This past weekend out of all the Koons Toyota Dealerships they only sold 2 Avalon's and none of them were the Limited.

We really do not need another car till the summer but we are trying to get a great deal on a new 2016 Avalon.

Now if you only could deal on Tacoma's like that!

Buck season opened yesterday, was out all day and saw 1 tail, 2 doe, and a turkey, going to be another LONG season! There were 3 of us, and my buddies one son got a small 6pt. buck, usually my buddy gets one the first day, but not this year. He could have shot a bear, but they aren't open yet in the area we were hunting, just a couple of miles East on the other side of the turnpike they would have been open!

    It would be sweet.

I actually like car shopping but dealing with the dealerships is a PITA. Trying to get multiple quotes last night and working with a second dealership in MD. These are dealerships that responded to my request for pricing. I get a quote for an out the door price on a 2017 Avalon that includes all taxes and fees for $36509. A really good super low price. Thinking I am being taken by the other dealership I ask for a quote on a 2016 Avalon. I get a call back in a half hour from the sales manager stating that the quote for the 2017 was for a damaged car but they would honor the price on a 2016 Avalon. Forgot to ask the important question so I called back and asked if the price on the 2016 Avalon included the $3000 cash rebate and of course it did. In the end their price was more than $1000 over the Koons price.

Carl, I think this process might just drive you crazy. LOL

    Afternoon all:
LOL---it does drive me crazy, that's why I end up with privately owned used vehicles most of the time, even though I may be looking for a new one!
Even used vehicles at some dealers are top dollar+++! Don't mind paying fair top dollar, but the +++ really irks me, and then you need to NEGOTIATE them back down to top dollar! :( I can only take it for so long! :D
Now, if only I could find another Tacoma that's 2 yrs. old with 2,700 miles on it for 6k less than a new one and exactly what I wanted! LOL

New Tacoma's are expensive now days. Heck they no longer make the base cab model.

I could not believe it either. The base or single cab is the staple of pick up trucks.

Just checked and Koons Toyota only had 1 2016 Tacoma left in stock.. The discount was $2136. On the 2017 Tacoma's the discount is only around $1400

We have found the car just not at the price my wants to pay. Unless she goes to the dealer today or Monday we will see what the incentives December 6th will bring. I believe the only change will be the 0% financing will drop from 72 months to 60 months. Currently the price is at $35,866 for a 2016 Avalon Limited with a MSRP of 42, 040. We would like to see the price a lot closer to $33,000 which I do not believe is possible.

Oh and I will probably need your addy. ;) I will let you know on Sunday.

Evening all. Any bucks hanging yet Carl? Grand kid Baby time is the BEST Sue. Glad you got to have the time:thumbsup:. Two things I hate the most Tom, Going to the proctologist and car shopping:eek:. Both are about on the same level. Good luck to you and the missus with your new car journey.
