That's got to be Courtesy Toyota! Their "Protection Package" costs $2,100 for Window tint, Floor Mats and Door Guards. Which they already have installed!

All they have to do is build that truck to bring people into the place for a look, then sell them something else on the lot. Look at the traffic the OP's post brought here with some people likely checking inventory of that same dealer. I see it like a model home on display that shows all the options. It's just a form of advertising with window dressing.

Once it's finished bringing in the traffic it will get a price reduction and move just like the other metal.

This one actually looks OK with the TRD wheels. I would take this over the other one

Funny how nobody brings up pizza. There is a waaayyy bigger margin on pizza than there is new vehicles. Not many people complain about that.

For real. It's blood boiling how thick people are when it comes to money. They think they are so much smarter than the "idiots" that buy that "dealer installed junk", then they walk right down the street and buy an iPhone at 10x the margin. Lots of clueless individuals on this planet.

Had a local dealer here try to sale packages (Which I am fine with) but one particular part they advertise was a set of rock sliders from a local fab, which of course anyone can buy from easily, as they also list the name of the fab. They come out powder coated and top plated for under 800 with no shipping charge of course, take less then an hour to install (Bolt on frame, but very robust) and the price from the dealer... $2000... That means they charge a minimum of $1200 an hour to install something that takes less then an hour for one person with also a small up charge on overall cost.... Needless to say I did int (and did int plan on) even touching any of their "package" deals when they tried to throw them at me.

I agree. Ripping people off was a little strong but lots of companies take advantage of people. Some of the worst here in Tx are retail electric providers.
