Recently when I went to play around a little bit off road. When I put the truck into 4x4 and when I let off the gas and the truck slammed forward to slow down and the transmission was whining like as if it was put into 4 low but was in 4 high. Not too sure what it's from. Any ideas?

    How fast were you going?

    Automatic or Manual transmission?

Truck Manual recommends less than 50mph for an '04 but ive never done more than 15mph when going from 2wd to 4hi in any vehicle.

It is also recommended to drive at least 10 miles per month in 4x4 just to make sure the 4x4 seals stay lubricated
