    Hello all,

I'm the owner of a 2011 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 double cab long bed metallic grey.
I purchased this vehicle with only 25 miles on it and 2011 my first new truck.
I've been very pleased with this truck for the past 6 years have used it for work constantly it's never let me down.
Recently I've been interested in trying to create a different look and feel to my truck.
Looking at getting a lift to put 33's or 35's. What type of kit should I
use to be able to fit these size tires? And what type of shocks should I use to get the best ride?
Thanks for any suggestions, tips, hints...

Welcome to Tacoma World. Glad you love your truck!

I'd suggest using the "Search" box at the top right of the site. There are hundreds of threads about lifts and 33" and 35" tires.

The simple answer is this: 35" tires will require lots of physical modification to the truck to clear properly.

33" tires require 2.5 - 3" of lift and still might require some trimming in the front wheel wells. You'll also need to replace the Upper Control Arms.

When lifting don't do it cheap. Do it right.

A little of this and a little of that.
Welcome to TW Ron! The 2011's are the best of the 2nd Gen. trucks. I am very happy with my OME lift kit with Dakars and LR UCA's.

    Welcome!

I went with Billsteins 5100's, Eibach/toytech springs and a 3 leaf pack. The ride is better than stock, handles great on and off road and road. Acheived about a 3" lift with 33" tires.

I later added Camberg UCA's but they weren't needed for alignment.
