How do you deal with moisture / condensation and fogging after retrofit?

I did my own retrofits earlier this month. I used OEM housings, blacked them out with mate paint, completed the retofit with D2S / morimoto components and sealed everything up thereafter with Butyl tape and then reheated in the oven for a complete seal around the lens. I can visually see the lens itself is sealed. I toke the OEM rubber seals and cut/ fitted them to the new ballast connectors to provide a seal on the back as well.

The weather is rainy / snowing / wet / foggy (typical fall wintry mix) here this week and can see lots of condensation build up on the inside of the new retrofits.

    Where did I go wrong?

I did not, but I thought about it when creating this post. Is that what is done to remedy that issue?

With the stock headlights I never had the issue before the retrofit.

Is it due to the heat crated by the retrofit?

Not sure about new BMW's but the older ones use silica sticks that sit inside the headlight.

You have a leak somewhere. those running water runs are a dead give away. sometimes you'll get condensation moisture that's normal with 100% sealed lights. Its when you fog up inside your cab due to temperature change.

The same shit everyone else has.
Yipes! Thats more that just condensation like Rad said. Id take em out reheat them and then reseal them. I did mine with 3m window weld and it worked out perfect. I also added a few silica packets to each light just incase, but Ive washed the truck and been in rain storms and everything else since doing mine and havent had an issue.
