@steveo27 i finally got around to putting this in my truck. I also got a 2014 unit. FYI the camera source backup camera harness does not plug and play with the 2014 unit. only 2013 and earlier.

also, whats up with NAV? all I get is traffic and thats shitty at best. i was hoping it would be actual navigation, like I get on my phone.

Did you calibrate everything? Maybe your firmware needs updated? or your SD map card is bad?

Redmann, I also modded my truck with a JBL 2014 Nav head unit. I was unable to do the mod by myself. There wasn't really much information on how to mod from JBL to JBL unit. I had to get it done professionally at a good stereo place. Bestbuy or Audio Express had no clue... most told me it couldn't be done. I remember after everything was done. My navigation wouldn't read my location. I went back to the shop to address the same issue your having. They assured me everything was connected corrected. I was just happy to have Bluetooth connectivity without using a aux jack. After a day my navigation just started reading my location. You might want to try Steveo27 suggestions. I hope this help.

Another side note: I just received the source backup camera harness today. I have a appointment this Sat to mod the backup camera from mirror to the unit. I thought all the video connections were the same for years 10-15 video head units?

not sure what any of that is! haha. I'm not too savvy when it comes to car audio. how do I calibrate? I've had the unit in the truck for about a week now. whats the newest firmware i should have? There's an SD map card? sorry if these are simple questions.

I emailed camera source about it. here's the email

    Hi Mark,

Unfortunately the only harness we have for that is the one that goes up to 2013. We do not have the information available to re-pin the harness.

    Thanks,

Comment: I have a 2009 tacoma. I recently installed a 2014 touch screen radio. I bought the wiring harness that you sell to get the reverse camera on the screen rather than the mirror. I didnt realize it at the time, but it says its for up to 2013 models. the harness i bought from you does not fit into the 2014 radio. can i re-pin your harness to the 2014 radio?

Redmann, I had a friend help me install the camera source harness today. It worked fine. I had to modify it a little. I attempted it because I found an old post dated Feb 25, 2014.

Did anyone ever find out what antenna to use for Xm radio. I have an 06, so my truck doesn't have the shark fin antenna.

I realized why my 2014 unit's NAV doesnt work. It's because i have a non NAV unit.:mad::mad::annoyed: I didn't do my homework fully and believed the seller (craigslist) when he said it had navigation. hey i still have a cool radio though!!
