I am moving to Quantico, Virginia in April. My stock tires cant hold traction to save its life here in California when it drizzles a little. This has just bumped up getting new tires on my list of priorities, I am looking at the Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure are there any suggestions on a tire that will do well in all seasons? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You must have the stock "Dunflop AT20" tires based on that comment.

Just about anything is an upgrade from those.

Ultimately what tire you buy depends on how you'll use it. If you drive highways a lot but want good traction is most weather conditions I'd highly recommend the Michelin LTX M/S2 (which is now the Michelin LTX Defender). Loved those tires when I had them! Though they aren't an off-road ready tire they were great on snow/iced roads in town and crazy awesome on the highway.

Here's a photo of those tires:

If you're looking for something more rugged that opens up a whole new dimension. Then you have to determine just how rugged or off-road worthy you want them to be. That will help folks point you in the right direction.

Everybody will have an opinion here. Tires generate almost as many posts as Oil brands, but my advice is to buy the best tire you can afford. I run Michelin LTX AT2. They are great tires, but very expensive. I got mine at a "good" price at Sams club, but the whole deal still cost me about $ 750 (installed). Down at Quantico you won't have a ton of snow, but you will get more than at Thousand Oaks.

$750 for Michelin's is CHEAP. Holy cow.

Think my Cooper ST Maxx were like $1,200 + install. LOL But I got 5 tires.

If I recall the 'deal' I got on my Michelin LTX M/S2's was like $900.

LTX MS2 or the new version LTX Defender are your best bet, just to second the input above. You won't regret them and they last forever, which helps with the price overall.

My main driving is going to be around town but I am going to be doing a lot of fishing and scuba diving so id like to keep my options open for off roading. Ill look into the LTX defender

Michelin Defender is a great call. Best tire hands down.
