Anyone around here done the road from Squamish around to Indian Arm lately?

I'm planning on it next year but the only info I've found for it is not very recent. Just wondering what the condition of it is like these days. Truck would still be fairly stock when I give it a go.

This is a pretty good video of parts of the trail, but it's 4 years old so I'm not sure how things are now.

I did that road several times this past year. It's essentially a gravel FSR with a few small creek crossings. My long bed, fully-loaded with camping gear and on stock suspension did perfectly fine, including a few small side-trips along tiny trails, riverbed, etc.

There are a lot of ditches (across the road) for water run off, and in August construction crews were digging them out deeper. This caused my (by then lifted 2") truck to dig in with the hitch about 8-9 times. That same time I found large rocks intentionally blocking the only entrance to the riverbed (and awesome remote camping). I wasn't thrilled about that and haven't been back since.

My first time out there I did encounter rangers on ATVs, and they were stopping every vehicle to check for insurance and ensure you weren't hunting. Poaching has apparently been a problem there. Best not to do anything dumb, because these guys are definitely around.

Some decent views along the way:

This is the part of the trail that was previously blocked w/ stone boulders (when the road was officially closed). It is nothing special now.

The is the single-spot campsite at Indian River. It is almost always taken.

This is the awesome riverbed that you can no longer access.

We just punched in as far as we could two weekends ago. Had a jeep on 40s and two on 37s plus a few Toyota's on 35 or smaller. We made it almost to the crest of the pass before we gave up and turned around. Snow level has gotten deeper since, and waaaaaay icier.

The road is fine when there's no snow though

Update: I went last Saturday and there was road blockage with downed trees around 22km mark on Indian FSR.
