Maybe a Cheap iPhone 7 Loophole...

So i went to AT&T to try to get a free iPhone 7.

AT&T told me i had to port in a number from a different phone carrier.

Well i don't know anyone that i would be willing to share a phone contract with...so... what if i bought a cheap prepaid phone plan with Sprint or T-Mobile then port this number in???

And after all the porting is done and i have a free iPhone 7....just cancel my previous line with AT&T and keep the one i ported in.

The only downfall is dealing with having a new number...so am i daydreaming?!??! or could this possibly work!?!?!?!?

just got off the phone with them and they said i could take a prepaid verizon phone line and port it in.

 

If you take the free phone and then drop the plan you will pay for the full price of the phone. Even if you keep the contract you are paying off the phone inside of it. You don't really get it for free
