I purchased a 2006 Toyota Tacoma new with 6 miles on it at time of purchase. I recently changed the plugs because they started fouling out. in 10 years I put 433,651 miles on my truck. that's right those plugs ran for 433,651 miles. the best dam plugs I have ever used. Toyota uses these plugs for a reason ( THEY LAST )

I believe that spark plugs are cheap enough to not worry whether they will last 430,000 miles or 60,000 miles.

With my previous vehicles, spark plugs started giving out between 70,000km and 100,000km. For me, that's every 4-5 years, so it's a non-issue.

no way I believe that, I just changed out the Denso LF Iridiums on my 2006 Honda Accord and replaced with the same Densos at 101k miles and they were toast no way you could go 4.5 times what I saw at 101k miles

    Different engine - apples/oranges.

I can believe it - I pulled iridiums out of my 2TR with 110k (suggested replacement interval) and they looked like new - gap was spot on. I could have put them back in and run them another 100K easy.

Now that I have a supercharged V6 I'm glad there are iridiums in there, as changing the plugs is not the 10 minute job it was on my old Chevys. I'll be going the full 100K on these plugs as well.
